The way you describe yourself is so inline with myself. I loathe the online arena of real players. Once played Call of Duty with my nephews and entered an “arena” got smoked by some kids even though I’m decent at video games. It was chaos and not fun. I’d rather take on AI or go an adventure filled with tasks and discovery. Would have enjoyed watching you play asteroids too. I was okay in the arcade but when it came to Atari was when my space rock destroying days came to life.
