90s Album Thread: Madonna, “The Immaculate Collection” (1990)

I bought Madonna’s “Immaculate Collection” and I took my fair share of grief from certain friends and acquaintances for owning this CD. But it was all worth it. So were the greatest hits collections of Huey Lewis & the News as well as Hall & Oates. Thankfully there were times when I allowed myself to embrace what I might normally have avoided.

Cause after a while, trying to be cool can be exhausting and self-defeating. And in those moments of surrender I would come to the conclusion that, “I like it, and if anyone has a problem with that, that’s their problem.” It’s also good to know that if I end up in a pinch, Billy Eichner and many others will have my back.
